Rites of Passage Youth Empowerment Foundation - Empowering the youth of today

Saliha Amira Nelson

Saliha Nelson, is the Director of Educational Programs for the seniors and the youth. Ms. Nelson has designed life skills workshops and empowerment support group programs for YMCA-Independent Living Skills Program; The Salvation Army-Family Development Center; YMCA-Juvenile Crisis Program; Mesa Valley Grove Seniors Programs, New Alternatives-Youth Homes, and San Diego Department of Social Services-Adoption. Ms. Nelson will be responsible for all the social programs for the Rites Foundation.

Ms. Nelson studied at the American University of Cairo, during her junior year in college. She is a graduate of Northwestern University with a B.S. in Education and Social Policy with a concentration in psychological services.
